Three things that make Live 1 Life different
Unique places
Small, independent sites with character — from private land and secluded pitches to glamping, cabins and unusual stays.

Whether you're looking for somewhere quiet for the weekend, a place to bring the dog, a remote pitch away from the crowds or something completely different, start exploring.

Not just somewhere to stay.
Somewhere to remember.
The best places aren't always the biggest.
Sometimes it's a quiet field at the edge of a forest. A pitch beside a stream.
A tiny cabin with nothing but hills beyond it.
A place where you wake up and realise you haven't heard a road all night.
Live 1 Life is for finding those places.

Why Live 1 Life?
Independent, not impersonal.
We're building a marketplace around independent Hosts rather than large holiday-park chains.
Straightforward booking.
See available dates, understand the price and review the booking terms before committing.
Direct communication.
Ask questions before your stay instead of trying to find answers through a call centre.
Places with personality.
We're interested in the places that don't look like everywhere else.
Listings are reviewed before publication against our platform standards.
Trust and safety on live 1 life
Booking a field from a stranger should still feel safe. Here is exactly how we handle money, hosts and disputes.
Card details never touch our servers. Deposits are taken through Stripe Checkout with 3D Secure.
We review proof of ownership or written permission to let the land provided by the host, and check map coordinates against the described access and pitch location. Hosts remain responsible for keeping their information accurate.
Only guests with a completed booking on the pitch can leave a review, so ratings reflect actual stays.
Message the landowner yourself about access, dogs, fires or late arrivals — no call centre in between.
We are a UK marketplace. Message us from the contact page and a person replies — no bot-only support.
You see the pitch price, the 25% deposit and the 5% booking fee before you pay. Nothing extra at the gate.

What live 1 life is, and who it's for
live 1 life is a UK marketplace for small, independent, private outdoor stays. Instead of holiday parks and static caravan rows, you get single fields, woodland clearings, farm paddocks and one-off glamping units, each run by the person who actually owns the land. Every stay is booked direct: you see the host's own calendar, their own price and their own rules, and you deal with them rather than a call centre.
The platform handles the awkward parts — availability, deposits, confirmations and records of what was agreed — and stays out of the way of the rest. Hosts keep control of who comes and when; guests get a confirmed pitch instead of a phone number and a hope.
Who can list
Anyone in the UK with land or an outdoor unit they can lawfully let: farmers with a spare field, smallholders, woodland owners, estates, existing certificated sites, bell tent and shepherd's hut operators, and campsite owners who want direct bookings alongside their usual channels. You need the right to use the land for camping, honest coordinates and access details, and public liability cover. Listings are reviewed by our team before they go live, so a hidden corner of a farm is welcome but a vague pin in a car park is not.
Why hosts list here
Keep more of what you earn.
Free to list · No monthly fee · 5% booking fee
The 5% booking fee is paid by the guest on top of your advertised price, not deducted from it. Any payment-processing costs are separate.
Set your own nightly price, manage your availability and block out the dates when you need your land back. You stay in control of your listing and can approve each guest — or switch on Instant Book when you want bookings to happen automatically.
Your land doesn't need to compete on scale. Every place on Live 1 Life is an independent site. That means a quiet field, woodland pitch, small campsite or unusual stay in an ordinary part of the country can stand out because of its character — not because it has hundreds of pitches.
Your place. Your price. Your availability. Your choice.
List your place for free →What guests get
Places you cannot find on the big booking sites, with real photographs, real distances and a named host to ask. Dates are checked against a live calendar before you pay, deposits run through Stripe, and the confirmation carries the address, directions and booking reference. If a site is misrepresented, our refund window applies.
How the platform works
Search by place, dates and the kind of night you want. Open a listing to read the rules, hazards and facilities. Pay a 25% deposit to hold the dates instantly, or send a free request and wait for the host to accept. The deposit is held and released to the host 24 hours after check-in; the balance is settled with them directly.
Common questions
- How much do I pay when I book?
- A 25% deposit through Stripe Checkout, including the 5% booking fee. The balance is settled directly with your host, normally on arrival.
- Do I need an account to book?
- No. You can send a free booking request as a guest; create an account later with the same email and your bookings link up automatically.
- How fast is a booking confirmed?
- Instant Book pitches confirm straight away. Request-to-book pitches wait for the host to approve, usually within a day.
- Can I list my own land?
- Yes — listing is free for UK landowners, farmers and glamping operators, and you approve every guest before they arrive.
- What kind of places are on live 1 life?
- Small, private sites: a few tent pitches in a meadow, a woodland clearing, a paddock with a firepit, a single shepherd's hut or bell tent. Holiday parks and large commercial caravan sites are not what we list.
- When does the host get paid?
- The deposit is held after checkout and released to the host 24 hours after your check-in date, so there is time to raise a problem if the site is not as described.
- Are listings checked before they appear?
- Yes. Every new listing and every significant edit is reviewed by our team before it goes public, and hosts confirm their permissions, insurance and site hazards during onboarding.
- Can I bring a dog, a campervan or camp off-grid?
- It depends on the site, and each listing says so plainly. You can filter for dog-friendly pitches, campervan access, off-grid stays and other features before you open a single page.
